What drove the first pivot
The PIVX plagiarism allegations and a technical review of the original proposal led the team to adopt a Particl-derived codebase with RingCT rather than the initially discussed Sapling/zk-SNARK approach.
What the 2024 update added
Four years of development produced refinements to cold staking, Ghost Veterans, on-chain governance, tokenomics allocations, and a quantum-risk discussion, plus references to wGHOST and the Polygon bridge.
